Oven Baked Spicy Chicken | Indian style

Chicken is always included in a healthy diet, because it is a lean meat. So eating chicken regularly can help you to loose weight in a healthy way.  It is keto friendly recipe.

High protein is effective in weight loss and chicken fits into it as part of high protein diet with low calories.




You can use this same recipe with chicken legs too.  Eat with the salad is perfect for dinner or lunch time.




INGREDIENTS:

    • 6 chicken thigh pieces
    • 1/2 lemon juice
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 tsp rosemary (optional)
    • 1/2 tsp oregano
    • 1/2 tsp thyme (optional)
    • 2 tsp oil
    • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tbsp yogurt/ curd

    • Powders:

      • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
      • 1 to 2 tsp red chili powder
      • 1 tsp coriander powder (optional)
      • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
      • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

      • To Garnish:

        • 1 tbsp melted butter
        • Lemon wedges
        • Onion Slices


INSTRUCTIONS:


    • Remove the skin from the chicken thigh pieces, and wash it.  
    • Add all the above ingredients (turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, pepper powder, cumin powder, salt, lemon juice, yogurt, ginger garlic paste, rosemary, thyme, oregano, oil).  You can skip those optional items if it is not available.  Marinate for 20 minutes.
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    • Place these chicken pieces on the oven safe tray.
    • Bake it for 35 to 40 minutes.
    • When it is done, take it from the oven.
    • Garnish with butter, onion slices and lemon wedges.
    • Delicious Spicy Chicken is Ready to eat.
