Idly in silicone mold/Idli/ Savory Rice cakes

Idli is a traditional breakfast in south India and it is very popular throughout India.

Most often eaten at breakfast or dinner, idlis are usually served with chutney or sambar. Mixtures of crushed dry spices such as milagai podi are the preferred condiment for idlis eaten on the go.

    • Keep the idly mold on top of the trivet.
    • Close the lid with venting position.
    • Set 10 minutes steam, timer won't work on steam venting, use the separate timer for 10 minutes.
    • Cancel when it is done. Open the lid. Let it cool for 2 minutes.
    • Push the idli from bottom, it can be easily come out. It won't stick at the bottom.
    • It can be served with sambar or chutney.

    • Here I use 6 qt Instant Pot Duo.
    • Idlis won't stick at the bottom when you use silicone mold and it is easy to clean.
