Instant Pot Green Moong Curry

                                                                                                         




INGREDIENTS


    • 1 cup Green Moong Dal/ Whole Green Gram 
    • 3 tbsp oil
    • 1 cup chopped Onion
    • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
    • 1 Cup Chopped Tomato
    • 2 Serrano Pepper/ Green Chillies
    • Salt to taste
    • Cilantro chopped
    • Powder:
      • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
      • 1 or 2 tsp Red Chilli Pepper Powder
      • 2 tsp Corriander/ Dhaniya Powder
      • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
    • Tadka/ Tempering:
      • 1 or 2 Bay Leaves
      • 2 Cloves
      • 1 stick Cinnnamon
      • 1 Cardamom
      • 2 Star Anise
      • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds







STEPS:



    • Clean and Soak the Green Gram for 4 hours
    • Turn on Instant Pot Saute mode
    • Add Oil. Once the oil is hot, add Bay Leaves, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Star Anise, and Cumin Seeds
    • Add Chopped Onions, Ginger Garlic Paste and Serrano Peppers, Saute for a minute
    • Add Chopped Tomatoes, Saute for a minute.
    • Add Salt, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Pepper Powder, Corriandar Powder, Garam Masala Powder -  Quick Stir
    • Add cleaned and Soaked Lentils with 2.5 cups of water.
    • Close the lid with the Sealing position, Cancel Saute Mode, Change to Bean mode (High pressure 30 mins)
    • After NPR open the lid.
    • Add Cream (optional), Garnish with Cilantro
    • Yummy Green Moong Dal Curry/ Whole Green Gram Soup is ready.
